Hi everyone my name is LJ Curry. I'm a current student athlete at converse university and I'm a junior. I grew up in Delaware and after nine years I moved to West Columbia South Carolina. I moved a lot in Delaware but then settled down in South Carolina. I'm now studying sports management at Converse University. 



My go to music right now is either R&B music or rap. My go to as of recently has been R&B. My favorite R&B artist this past year has been Brent Faiyaz. One of my favorite songs by him gang over luv. The reason I like this song a lot was because of how Brent talks about his great/unbreakable friendships and the disappointments and also seeking out distractions with his crew being young.


 

An example of this rapper named J.Cole music his song Love Yourz that has been personally meaningful to me for a while now. The song was made and released in 2016. Ever since then this song has been resonated with me ever since. The song is about how the important things in life is not about having the best everything or the most wealth but its about your love and happiness. I used what this song talks about throughout my childhood to help me grow into the person I am today!



An example of music I don't really connect with or like that much is country. I just never really found country music that interesting the few times I heard it and when I have I just never enjoyed it honestly. I had a friend in middle school who loved this song but me personally I just could never get into it with all due respect.

    Hi, LJ! I really like the selection of music you chose and for me I would also say R&B is one of my favorite music genres. Also, one of my favorite artists is J.Cole.

    Hi, Lj we have something in common because I like to listen to Brent Faiyaz as well and gang over luv is one of my favorite song by him as well!!!

    LJ! J. Cole is one of my top favorite artists and has been for a long time. It excites me to know that you like him, too. One of my favorite songs by him is Runaway. You should check it out if you haven't already.
